Note "HVJ" on the check or in the on-line dedication box (for Homeless Voices for Justice).

The Roman Bishops are the modern Pharisees whom Jesus constantly criticized for their self-righteousness, their faulty presumptions of infallibility, their inability to think outside-the-box of tradition and legalism, and their dearth of spirituality, compassion, and healthy development.

Their obsessive homophobia was already unhealthy, but now it’s become cold and ruthless.

Just because an organization does some good work does not mean you have to support it if they also do damage, for example by actively opposing gay rights like the Salvation Army does. It's not hard to find another organization that does the same good work without being homophobic at the same time. It's especially heinous for an organization like the Salvation Army that helps homeless people to promote homophobia, which contributes to the homelessness of gay, lesbian and transgender youth.

Please help me, I'm confused. Please show me where in this bill it says that your marriage will be dissolved if it passes. Please show me how the state will be forcing your church to perform ANY marriage, gay or otherwise. I am going to be getting married in may (to a lovely person of the opposite sex,) should I be worried that this marriage will not be legal anymore, or that it diminishes the love and rights we will share in matrimony? Will God look at my marriage as a lesser thing, should this bill grant rights to a segment of society that engages in a lifestyle not approved of by certain religions? Perhaps we should move to a country that not only disallows such things, but punishes them with severe beatings and death. Like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan.
